EXO’s Baekhyun at the media showcase for solo debut album “City Lights”

EXO’s Baekhyun makes his solo debut today with his first mini album “City Lights.”

Fellow member Chen was the MC for Baekhyun’s media showcase. He said that during his solo debut showcase, Xiumin supported him as the MC so he also wanted to give the same support to Baekhyun today.

On his thoughts about “City Lights” reaching over 400,000 pre-orders, Baekhyun said he still couldn’t believe the incredible number and he would have to see it for himself.

He also talked about the burden of being a solo artist. According to him, he used this burden to improve his musical skills, so he practiced a lot, did vocal lessons, and more.

He also talked about the name of the title track “UN Village.” Apparently, UN Village is a residential area in Seoul and he wanted to express his love to you in his favorite place–a hill behind UN Village.

On his album title, Baekhyun said that his EXO power is Light, so it became “City Lights.”

Baekhyun’s mini album “City Lights” will be released today at 6PM KST, along with the music video for the title track. He will also have a live showcase at 8PM KST on NAVER V LIVE – EXO channel.
