K-Beauty Guide: Idol Edition (Part 1)

Today, we’ll introduce some Korean beauty brands endorsed by our favorite K-Pop groups!

Korean idols have been taking over the cosmetics industry for a long time now. Trendy idols and K-Pop groups are favorite ambassadors of K-Beauty brands. Not only are they influential, but they also carry the brand’s concepts and vision. If you have been wanting to try new products, read on below!

Etude House – Red Velvet

Etude House has been a consistent player in the beauty industry. Top and trendy celebrities such as Sandara Park, SHINee, and f(x) have been their brand ambassadors. Recently, Red Velvet was added to the family and they totally suit Etude House’s sweet and playful image.

Products to try:

  • Shine Chic Lip Lacquer or Matte Chic Lip Lacquer
  • Double Lasting Serum Foundation

Etude House has great lip products and their latest lip lacquers don’t disappoint. The Chic Lip Lacquers differ in the type of finish. If you want a glossy shine, go for the Shine Chic Lip Lacquer but if you want a matte finish, definitely go for the Matte Chic Lip Lacquer.

They also have BB creams and a most recent product from them is the Double Lasting Serum Foundation. Nature Republic is a nature-inspired brand and focuses on natural ingredients found around the world. Currently, EXO has been their consistent ambassadors to the point of holding events like concerts with and for the brand.

The California Aloe Fresh Powdery Sun Stick is perfect for the summer and hot weather for it has a powdery finish and contains aloe vera leaf extracts. It can be used on the face, body, and even as a pore-covering primer.


MONSTA X is the latest brand ambassador for urban and trendy style cosmetics brand TONYMOLY. They have been pretty active with product marketing and the boys can be seen promoting various products from the brand. So far, MONSTA X suits the brand the most with their edgy, street style and cool energy.

  • The Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Cream

The Liptone Get It Tint S has 6 shades that are bound to suit anyone’s style. It has a watery texture which is easy to apply and provides a moisturizing vivid look. The vivid shades and oil-based formula make it long-lasting and leave lips feeling soft and shiny.

Another product you should try is The Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Cream. This variant is perfect for oily skin and humid weather because it absorbs fast without any sticky feel. The cream is light and rich in moisture with a subtle green tea scent.

The Prime Primer Foundation, as the name states, is a combination of a primer and foundation products. It is also perfect for the cold season when skin gets dry. This primer foundation claims to keep makeup long lasting with its dried-fit technology which counters sebum. It also covers skin textures and wrinkles for a fresh and smooth finish.

Clean It Zero is another must-have. It boats a Zero Balance Technology which balances the skin while effectively removing makeup and impurities. This one is a balm-type cleanser and turns into oil as you massage it on your face. After cleansing, it leaves the skin soft and supple.
